7 Continents

Today Me and my partner made a DLO showing the 7 Continents of the world.
Did you know that Africa has been the largest desert from a country called the
Sahara and we had been building up a grenral knowlage about the 7 continents and
the 7 continents  are Europe and North America , Africa , South Amercia and
Antarctica and Asia and Ausatralia .
Also it was really fun to do about learning about the Continents

Shark Facts

This morning we used keywords in a text to help us find out and be able to talk about facts about sharks. We used our ideas to write a collaborative summary of these facts.

Sharks are carnivores, that means they only eat meat like sea lions, dolphins or smaller sea creatures like crabs. It is true that sharks have attacked humans but not many people know that only 12 species of sharks have ever done this. A baby shark is called a pup and a group of sharks are known as shivers, shoals or schools. You can find sharks in every ocean but they won’t be staying still because they have to keep the water moving over their gills to stay alive.

Tech DLO

Today we had our week 7 session of tech. Our focus this term is metal work. What we are creating in tech is either a pizza cutter (Which is what I'm creating) or a cake server. So far, I am up to finishing the handle for my pizza cutter  . What it is I am doing to my handle is making it more smooth and getting the mark of it , and sanding it with rough grit sandpaper. I am having a lot of fun in tech, and when I get finsih on my pizza handle I will have to work on the cutter part . 

Boy on a Bike

For writing I had been make a DLO about a book call boy on a bike  is talks about a boy that trying o help his communities about St Jonh's and I had been keeping so I can make more information on to it and the boy name is mac and he and his dad have been traveling around nz and it was instreing reading the book becuase he was not giving up and it was so much fun creating my DLO .

Tech DLO

For tech i had been filing my pizza cutter and it was kind of hard because I had to make sure that my pizza cutter was smooth on the each on sides , so it has be smooth so we can hold it and we were making sure that handle that were smooth and also there was  2 types of sandpapers to make the edges of my hand base smooth. I have chosen to make a cake cutter, which will be a great thing to make. I have finished making the top of my handle smooth, but I need to work on making the sides of it nice. 

Reading DLO

On wednesday for reading I made a DLO about history of prostest in New Zealand in my reading groups . But there were other things that my group and me had to do like preticion , clarifier , Question  and also  Summariser . We got infromation from the book that we had read about prostest and it means like people are voiting for something or fight to make peace , so we won't have any  wars between each and every country's .

Kiwi can Relection

This week for kiwi can we had the same people like Mrs paige and Mr Ailpati and our topic is still the same and it is postive releltionships and postive comucation . Also our engizer we did is fruit salad in this game  also there were four commads and they were banana , pear , apple and watermelon  and the person who were say yhe comads is Mrs paige and apple is when you move your hip to the left and pear is to move your hip to your right and watermelon is move backwards and banana is to move forwards . 

Then we talked about active listening. Our Catchphrase is Kiwi Can Says Talk To Me So You Can See Someone With Positivity. We played our activity it was called negative positive role-play. In this game Mrs Paige gave us a paper that we had to read make a negative response to it and after that we had to have a positive ending
