Fireworks safety

Me and My group made a DLO about fireworks safety to our younger ones
in our school makes them to be safe around fireworks becasue it can be very dangerous
because lots of chilldern are being hurt also I hope it has teach the younger
students be careful about fireworks .

Life In Space

For this week inquriy we being taken care of our experments , and we have finish the planent
part before upadte the progress for our plants . Also I have learnt about How I have feel when im
in space and I have found out that Jupiter is famous for it red spot that is a massive hurricane that been raging over 300 years on jupiter  and It was a great cool learning about the life of space , and some times .

Care Vaules

Today for the first day of school Sandra, Aung Naing, Jonathan, Matthew and I was a team group for the day. We worked together collaboratively to create a DLO about CARE Values. At the start we wrote down on a piece of paper all together to explain what confidence, attitude, respect and excellence and innovation means and what it looks like. Afterwards we acted out some of our opinions listed down and we were proud of it. Then at the end we made a presentation linking everything we did into a google presentation.

Fact about WW1

Today for inquiry we have been learning about
WW1 and we have some facts on our learning site and we make tables on a google draft and we have to remember facts about  WW1 on our learning site and it was hard to remember all the facts and we have to check the facts and put an tick next to it and write information about facts.  I have learnt about Germany has handed over their war stuff like guns and etc and also I have learnt about trench's.

What is Peace?

This week my group has created an google presentation about peace. What is peace, peace means that it is a time to respect other people's values and people to be safe and happy what i had to do was write an activist of how they promote peace and finding interesting facts about them did you know that Nelson Mandela went to an school called nelson when he was 7 years old. I have enjoyed creating this DLO with my group because it shows that we know all about peace.

inquiry- building bridge

Today for inquiry in my group we collaborated to make a plan about making a bridge tat long and flat and strong bridge we did the deck of the bridge is compete so we have to make the arch the top of the bridge and the triangle at the bottom deck and I learnt that triangle is stronger shape than any else shape for a bridge and the arch is strong to it make a bridge stronger and stronger . In my group there names is Dallas , Aung naing ,Neveah , and me and my used toothpicks to make a bridge it is very very hard to think about how we going to make the bridge .

Careers-FireFighter

Today we created a DLO show what career you want to do I chose farming this because the land My family has big so they need more people to help them with the farm animals.

Term 3 - Careers

This week we were focusing  on careers, And I just work out that careers that you work for a living and finding out jobs that pay people less money or pay people more money . Then we went to a site that show us lots of job's that you want be when you finish school, and it had police officer and other mores , so went through all the quest and also answering the question that the quest gave you jobs that you will like to be when you get older and older . Jobs just pay the people money and they work for an hour , And when I get older I going to be a firefighter . 

Jonathan- Matariki The Maori new year

Today is Matariki and also the fourth of july and I have made a DLO about
Matariki The Maori New Year , And also the people in my group is Me, Diana ,
Fanini,Neveah were team working to compete our DLO about our DLO . And I have lots
of fun we all eat and look at the performs , and I have learnt  to collaborate to each other learnt  and what we have shared to make our work done .

Information about the East cape lighthouse

The East cape lighthouse is located on the east coast, Otiki Hill above East Cape, North Island.

The East Cape Lighthouse stands 15 metres above sea level.

The East Cape Lighthouse is accessed by a walking track of some 700 steps.

In 1954 the light was converted from oil to diesel generated.

Getting to East Cape Lighthouse

East Cape Lighthouse is accessible to the public.
It can be reached on foot from the car park at the end of East Cape Road.

From the East Cape Lighthouse,
visitors can look out onto East Island where the lighthouse was originally located.

Fun Fact

• East Cape was named by James Cook
• The East Cape Lighthouse was originally located on East Island Whangaokeno, And

It takes 700 steps to get to the lighthouse.

• The lighthouse was first lit in 1900.
• The road to the lighthouse clings to the coastline,

and there are numerous sandy beaches just meters away.

• The Araroa is the gateway to the East Cape Lighthouse.

Almost 600 visitors visited the East Cape Lighthouse.

• The St Mary's church is one of the most popular churches in New Zealand.
• February 2002 using a 50 watt tungsten halogen bulb and has a backup battery.
• In 1971 the lighthouse was connected to main power and the station was automated

withdrawing the last keeper in 1985.

tower and buildings were relocated to East Cape at Te Araroa.

This week Mr Johntson created tasks for us that included reading and inquiry.
Our task was to research about specific lighthouses around New Zealand.
Firstly before we went on with our lighthouses we split into 10 groups.
In each group there were approximately 5 to 6 students.
Now let’s get on with the working part.
After each group were given their own lighthouse to research on,
they got on working.
The lighthouse that we were working on is called East Cape Lighthouse.
For this task I worked with Harlem, Nickela, Joel and Sanujan.
I learnt that east cape lighthouse is made is out of Cast iron tower, and I also
learnt that PBS to east cape is about 7 hours and 37 min 516 kilometres just to go
PBS to East Cape.I had fun doing this task because i learnt more and more
and more. That is why I having lots of fun about doing this task.

Jonathan-Samoan Language week

This week we have been learning about Samoan Language Week we were a group of four and also we made the a DLO about the Samoan  flag and understand the meaning of the color on the Samoa And in my group was Nevaeh,Pua, Harlem,Giovanni that is in my group so we use our skill's to find information and skimming and Scanning the sentences  to put the sentences.

Today for inquiry we created a Gif about the skeletal systems. We used EzGif to to create this Gif. We used Play-Doh and toothpick to create a human figure to show you what it looks like without bones and with bones. The toothpick stands for the "skeleton" on the human clay. 

Mascot Comparison Modern to the 2018

Today for inquiry I have been focus writing and read off the information the sites and I have 

comparison the mascot and learn the modern mascot and I found the modern mascot in 2006 

and I have to put the 2018 one on the other side then I have learn that I can finish my work off and 

waiting for the 2018 winter Olympics .

We had to work on DLO And the DLO is Government Services and I am doing politician's  and we had to read off these card and then we had to write it  down on a google side and it was hard to find more information . I was skimming and scanning .
