Phonics AP Words

Today me and my group for phonics made a list of AP words like apple and snapper and other words we found in the dictionary . Then we found words with ap at the beginning, middle an end,  like clapping, napping and applying. Then when we did the sentences and chose 5 AP words to write in a paragargh. It was very fun saying the words and making the list. We finished with key into evalution.
7/9/2019  Ap Words
snapper & happy & trap & nap & flapping
Once me and my dad were going fishing on a fishing boat that was very fast. We packed the fishing rods, bait and line and hooks. Then we went under the bridge and there were lots of fish like kaiwai, snapper and yellow tails. I got a rope and a hook and bait, but my Dad put bait in a bottle like a trap.  When the bottle goes down in the sea that means that  a fish is on. Then we got our fishing rods ready to cast out very far then we wait and wait until something bites on, then a massive kai wai pull the bottle down and I drop the rod and grab the rope and pull the rope and then my dads rod went right down and it was a snapper that was flapping around and around . Then we pull it up to the boat and put it in the chilly bin. We were happy to see what we had caught , then we went to the beach to bring the boat to shore and go back home to have a nap .  True Story

Jonathan-key Evaluation part 2

Key into Evaluation
Level One Set T2

Evaluation requires the skills or reorganisation and inference.  Answers must come from the information in the story. Look for keywords. Consider the writer’s intent.

The Flagman

The man who lives across the road from me has a flagpole in his front yard.  He has lots of different flags, I always look to see which one is flying.

He has one with a bright yellow sun on it and he puts it up on hot summer days.  He put it up on a dark day in the middle of winter a couple of years ago. It didn’t make me feel any different and he hasn’t done it again.  Some of his flags advertise things, some have pictures like the one with the sun, and some are just designs. He loves them all.

He’s not a young man, and he tripped one day, stumbled forward and fell against the wall of his house.  The next thing I knew, he had his arm in plaster and in a sling. The day after that I was surprised to see that his flag was not at the top of the flagpole.  Flying a flag low means someone has died.

a. Who is the first up in the morning, the man across the road or the writer?  The man across the road Why do you say that? Because he don’t know what to put up on the flagpole

b.  Why do you think he flew the flag with the sun on it in the middle of winter? Because the man across the road it didn’t make him feel in a different way and it hasn't been done before .

c.  Had someone died?  Someone did not die  Why do you say that? Because that the writer was surprised the flag wasn’t up the top of the flagpole it was at the bottom of it

d.  Why did the writer help the man raise the flag higher?
Because the man across the road was upset because He undid the rope and awkwardly tugged on it,so they raise the flag  higher

Reaction question: I will do the same because it will make me happy .
Do you think it was a good thing for the neighbor to fly flags?  Yes Why do you say that? Because it make other people happy

Today for reading I have been reading text and there were question weren't answer , so I have to read the text to answer the questions and also we share ideas to learn from each other in our reading group and the text was about writer was a man across the road putting flags and writer do not no what the flags mean and that was from the text that I have putting it to answer the question ,

Jonathan-Key Evaluation part 5

Key into Evaluation

Level One Set T5
Fred put down the book he was reading and looked out of the window at the sports car in his yard.  It was worth a lot of money. He had four more in the big shed. Then he smiled to himself and nodded. He had decided.

He didn’t tell anyone what he was doing but we all knew he was up to ‘something’. He spent a lot of time on the phone and even more time making sure that the fence around his yard was in good order.

Then one day he arrived home with two large geese on the back of a truck. He later told me that he had learned of how, one night long ago, the ancient city of Rome had been in danger from invaders. The city’s geese had made such a noise when they heard the enemy coming, that the sleeping people had woken and fought them off.

Fred’s geese spent their days at the back of the yard, and had the run of the whole place at night. Fred said they were cheaper than dogs or an ordinary alarm system. He liked having them around and they were easy to manage. If anyone came near, the geese would make a lot of noise honking and hissing. Fred always knew if there was anyone around who shouldn’t be there.

a.  What had Fred decided?

Looking through the window  at the race cars in his yard.

b.  What was in the book that Fred had been reading?
Racing car’s

c.  What do you think Fred was doing on the phone?
He maybe talking to his friend

d.  Why had Fred brought home the two geese?
Because someone might and come and rob Fred’s
House,And might his yard

noise.
