SLJ - Family Background

  

This activity is all about your family backround. I have 6 different cultures (Maori, Cook Island, french Polynesian and the thing I love in the cook Island is about eating the  coconuts and fishing getting drifferent kinds of fish like the moon fish . There are 15 islands 

in the cook island the 15 island were an giants and caving wood to make an for the waka .

L.I to create a DLO that shows 10 foods you will wake with you to travel the ocean wth on a boat.
This is the very first activity for week 1 of day 1 for the summer learning Journey. This is about 10 foods you will wake with you to travel the ocean wth on a ship. One of my favorite and useful foods I will take with me on the boat across the sea is canned food and Beef Jerky . 

5 Activity: Equal Pay for Equal Work?

For Summer learning Journey I had created a DLO that the All blacks is getting
better payment then Black ferns, But Black ferns should get better payment  because they had won 5 times in a row.  I think that they should have the same payment, but the driffernt's were that genes if there a female or a male should have been the problems that they haven't got better payments .

Activity 4 : SPORT & LEISURE

For the Summer Learning Journey is for the teaser week that is a practice for
the SLJ becuase it start around the 16 of Decemeber 2019 . This activity is base
on Sport's & Leisure was very easy to do because it was really fun to finds facts learning
the understanding about it .

Activity3: BFG

For the summer learning Journey Tesear week and it was about BFG a big giant
that eat human but there were only one giant that dont wanted to eat humans so he
put them in a bottle and make them to go to sleep by thinking about what the humans
dreams about . The thing about for this activity was the part that when the a little girl turn
the giant to stop destorying the town at night also taking people .

Activity2 : SLJ Pepeha

This week is for  SLJ Teaser week and this Activity is  about Exploring our root's. So I had created a 

Pepeha on a google drive also It was reall easy for this activity becuase I have got some infomation from this link for expamle  so we make our own Pepeha . I had lots of fun doing this SLJ because we have prize after it and getting new learing about of it .

Activity1 : New Zealand Royalty

This week is the week for Manaiakalani Summer learning Jounrey for a teaser week .
Me and my partner Joshua had created a DLO Profilie Poster . I found something about lordewas about that she was the youngest song writer and performer , She made lots of drifferent kinds of songs. It was really easy to find some intersing facts about lorde .  What she likes to do, what inspired her, her songs and interesting facts about her. Something I learnt about Lorde, is that she is friends with Taylor Swift.

Maths Tesslation

For Today Tesselations is mahs's words for tranformation there drifferent kinds of
movement like Turn and side, and also mirror image and translation and enlarge . It was
hard, because it not just colouring in the sqaures and Tesselation was not that easy to do
it was a year nine maths . I had a shape that looks like a cross and try to cover the white
spaces in the table I choose 3 colours black green and red  it was good learning about it .

Erebus Crash

For Today my class did current events and it was fun doing current event's
because I wanted to learn about the world and it was easy if we work
in partners I made a awernessposter about he Erebus Crash this is an impact
means that will affect a large numbers of readers .

Market Day Evaluation

This term PBS was making items to sell at the school market day. There were heaps of different products for sale. LS2 sold rainbow crayons that we'd made out of melted old crayons for $1. Sadly the only food items being sold were ice blocks. LS2 made $96 but since we'd spent $8 on plastic bags, ouir total grossing was only $88. Make more food .

Juliet and Romeo

This week, we have been learning about William Shakespeare, and his stories. Our main focus being Romeo and Juliet. We learnt about the story of Romeo and Juliet by watching a few videos that told the story. We then re-wrote a part of the story in our own words, and translated them with a Shakespeare translator. This was a lot of fun to then tell the rest of the class. After we finished our stories, we were given another challenge. In groups we would create a DLO that retold the story. I try to be creative and it was lots of fun making this and getting new learning out of it . 

Writing Shoes

Its was another normal day when my owner put his unclean feet in me I  was with my other pair glaring at the ground waiting for him to take me off.  We went out for a walk my owner takes me off and drops me and... I feel something soft under me wait what is that what I think it is  Dog poop… EWW that is gross and it felt that my heart just broke in pieces . The owner looks at me and say opps and I looked at him then he drags me on the grass to get all the dog poop off me. When the dog poop was off I felt like I was back to normal  but I could smell it . So he put me in the washer and left me for a day in the washer when he came back the washer machine was so smelly he grabs a metal bat and starts to smash it. I smell like the cleanest shoes I ever been so he put me back on and we out to play softball but then outside it was so hot then I started to smell like a skunk when they  spray people. We got home he put me by the door and his cat name max came next to me so I yell ‘NOOOOOOOOO!!” get off me and sleep on my other pair of shoes it doesn't smell as bad as me

phonics

For today for phonics we were listing uck works and it was easy becuase we used our chromebooks and our dictionary and then there were words that we were to fiuger the meaning were by using our chromebooks this activity was fun and taking new learning to it. Many words to be list in our sheet maybe arounds 40 0r 31 and I just have learnt that ucks it not really easy to find the 3  letter words that was very hard  but we hstill have fun in this activity .

Maths Challenge Wall

Today I did the maths wall challenge. We began aproblems to solve all togther and then make numbers for our self . I wasn't that fast to add all the numbers up to solve the problems  it was fun getting the right number getting learning out of it . The easy problems were number 1 expande the numbers for example is 667= 600+60+7=667 after that we had maths money and our goal it how many ways to  make  a $1 I had only make 5 ways or seven ways to get $1.

Food print

This lady that was named Michal the owner of foodprint that is a company that is trying to explain that their company is the used for good. Nz people should think what is going to the future that the pollution and the climate changes.  Back to the beinning when she stared foodprint she wanted to make a named for her company name and she was just planning for 2 year of plaing and 6 months of open the business and ask her friend for the name that come up to foodprint and in Nz 20 million loaves has been wasted in nz a year that is very bad . 

Tennis

                                       
Today for P.E we were playing tennis,and it was a hot day of doing
tennis and our teacher for tennis name were peter and he was very good at teaching
us how to hit to make a volley and try not the ball to touch the ground.
It was very fun playing tennis and learning something new very session of tennis
also then we try hit the ball by the tennis racket by it rim and pratice with other, but first
we needed for warm ups then start hitting the ball to the other person side. Tennis
is not actully bad sport .

Maths Wall Challenge

For today we did a challenge for maths and it was about picking a 3 digit number and
do different problems with the same number like making 100 or number sentences it is to make drifferent kinds of ways to get the number for a example : let try to get up to 802 400+400+2=802 and keep going it was easy but cound't do it very fast .  Some of the problems weren't confusing and back to the learning is making expanded maths sentences and writing the number in words for making to hundred and I maybe to a thousand .

Fireworks safety

Me and My group made a DLO about fireworks safety to our younger ones
in our school makes them to be safe around fireworks becasue it can be very dangerous
because lots of chilldern are being hurt also I hope it has teach the younger
students be careful about fireworks .

Guy Fawkes

Me and my group had made DLO about Guy Fawkes and infomation that it base on the
story about sky Fawkes when Guy Fawkes wanted to blow up the king and the buildings around him at england reliogion and we still celebrate it around the whole world  each year..

WaterFitter

Last term that me and my group were builting water fitters becuase how to make dirty into drinkable water for people to drink there are so many people moving far becuase to get some water that was dirty water . There were lots of things to make a fitter but first we needed to make a plan to know that to do about making fresh water so we get some bottle  and cut it  into a half but we needed to be careful for scissors so we take the top part and leave the bottom of the  bottle take and just take the top of it . Then we got ssome plants and some coal so I had to make dirty water and see if it works and i think it did of making dirty water into drinkable water .
